To be completely transparent, we initially explored selling the business. However, after speaking with several experienced business owners and potential partners, we realized that we are not ready to walk away from what our family has spent more than 35 years building. Instead of selling, we have decided to retain ownership and look for the right strategic capital partner to support our next stage of growth.

We are a second-generation, family-run renovation and interior fit-out contractor operating in Singapore for more than 35 years. For many years, we mainly worked as a subcontractor for main contractors, interior design firms and architects. Although there was regular work, the subcontracting model came with long payment cycles, cash-flow pressure and limited control over projects.
In 2022/2023, we changed our company direction and started working directly with residential homeowners. Since then, we have grown tremendously and become one of the largest direct-to-owner renovation firm. We have built our own marketing team, sales team, project coordinators, operating systems, in-house workforce and carpentry facilities. Earlier this year, we also started a dedicated Commercial Design & Build Division focusing on direct business owners, landlords and tenants for offices, retail outlets, F&B spaces and reinstatement works. Since we already have the workers, workshops, vehicles, systems and management team. The next step is to strengthen our working capital and grow the commercial division.
๐ Why We Want More Than a Bank Loan
We can approach banks for financing, but we believe the company needs more than money. As second-generation owners, we understand renovation works and project execution. However, we also recognize that we do not have all the answers. We are looking for someone who can contribute experience, contacts, ideas and honest business guidance. Someone we can discuss strategy with, review opportunities together and learn from when making important decisions. The existing owners and management team will continue running the daily operations. The strategic partner can be involved according to their interest and availability.
๐ A Personal Reason Behind This Opportunity
A family experience helped shape the type of partner we are looking for. My uncle worked in the gov sector his entire life. After retiring, he had some savings and wanted to invest in a real local business. He was not interested only in watching numbers move on a screen. He wanted to meet the owners, exchange ideas and keep his mind active during his retirement. He invested approximately 100k into a new bakery concept. Unfortunately, the business closed within six months. He was devastated.
The lesson was not that physical businesses are risk-free. They are not. The lesson was that investors need proper transparency, access to the owners, an established track record and the opportunity to understand where their money is going. That is what we want to provide to the right strategic capital partner.

๐ Proposed Capital Arrangement
We are seeking between S$150,000 and S$300,000 in growth capital. Our preference is to work with one lead strategic capital partner, although we are open to a small number of suitable individuals.
The proposed arrangement is:

โ๏ธ Indicative return of 8% to 10% per annum
โ๏ธ Returns paid quarterly
โ๏ธ Principal repayment at the end of the tenure

โ๏ธ Regular financial and business updates

We are looking for someone who can contribute more than capital, we need someone who can share experience, open doors, challenge our thinking and participate in the companyโs next stage of growth.
